This place holds a simple recording of the passing of a piece of Newport News history and the fight to bring it back. Wednesday, March 25, 2009. Deep Creek Pier has moved to a new address.
The 26-minute film was written and directed by Washington, D. , filmmaker Laura Seltzer, who grew up in Newport News near the Deep Creek Pier. She began working on the project after she learned from friends that the pier was being torn down.

Thursday, June 14, 2012. Hi, well I have been a bit slack at posting this week so here are a couple of quilts for you. This first one is an E2E made by my client for a south African lad. He wanted nice bright colours. Today I have posted a couple of pics of a beautiful and huge thimbleberries quilt. This was stitched and pieced by Rosie.
